Another studio project that made a one-off album for the Cherry Red label, this particular group are partly responsible for the title of this compilation. The LP they cut -Very Big In America Right Now – was presented as the first in a series of ‘Science Fiction Dancehall Classics’ though no further releases ended up being issued under that iconoclastic banner. This particular track features the vocals of Keith ‘Lizard’ Logan of Creation Rebel and Singers & Players, and the music VoA made forms a kind of bridge between different On-U eras – the last album Adrian made for Cherry Red (a relationship that underpinned the first three years of On-U Sound); a reflection of the remix work he was picking up at the time; a move away from dub to more electro/industrial sounds; and recorded shortly before hooking up with the US trio of musicians with whom he would form Tackhead, covered elsewhere in these notes.
